About the Artist
I exhibit locally and internationally with works in various private and public collections throughout Europe, Japan, Australia, USA, New Zealand and Canada. I am a graduate of the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design, Langara College (Vancouver) and the Schaeffer School of Design (San Francisco). For 25 years I taught painting and drawing in Continuing Studies programs at the University of British Columbia, Capilano University, Vancouver Academy of Art, Langara College, and continuously in my studio. At Capilano University I taught 9 years, a highly effective drawing course called Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, based on the book by professor Betty Edwards at California State University. My studio courses for all-level students in watercolour and drawing have been ongoing since 1986. As well, I developed and taught intensive unique 2-week Painting & Creativity travel workshops for 13 years in BC, Canada and Europe including Corsica, France and Tuscany and Umbria, Italy.
